The studio is available for rental by photographers, filmmakers, production teams, and agencies who need a controlled commercial space for an active project — without downtown overhead, parking logistics, or freight elevator delays.
Hair and makeup, changing room, client lounge, conference table, and kitchen — plus free parking and food a minute's walk away. A full production day runs here without leaving the block.
$168 per hour, taxes included. 2-hour minimum ($336). The rate is the same whether you book two hours or a full day, so you book exactly the time you need. Multi-day productions welcome.

The Space
12' × 24' professional cyclorama — 12' side returns, 36" radius curve. Seamless backgrounds, clean shadow transitions, full-body movement.
24-foot ceilings — overhead diffusion, boom operation. Large-scale set builds fully supported.
Industrial power — ample capacity for large lighting arrays and continuous video setups without circuit limitations.
Light control — controlled lighting zones throughout. The studio also has high clerestory windows that admit soft natural light from above. These are not currently blacked out, so the space suits work that welcomes ambient overhead fill — or bookings outside daylight hours, which is one reason the studio books 24 hours. Full blackout can be arranged with a lift; tell us your requirement when you book.
8' × 10' commercial loading door — direct equipment, prop, and set-piece access. No freight elevators, no building logistics.
Capacity — the studio comfortably accommodates crews of up to 15. Larger productions are possible; let us know your headcount when you book so we can plan the space. If you're planning a multi-day production or a set build and want to walk the space first, book a studio visit — otherwise, book the room directly below.
Hair and makeup station — dedicated chairs, mirror, and workstation for talent prep.
Changing room — private, on site.
Client and crew lounge — sofa seating for reviews, downtime, and client attendance.
Conference table — for pre-production, client meetings, and laptop review during a shoot.
Kitchen — for crew and catering setup on longer productions.
Catering — crew catering available through a local partner, delivered to the studio. Ask when you book.
Washroom and free wifi.
Parking — four dedicated spaces on site, with additional free parking at the plaza across the street for larger crews. No meters, no permits, no loading zones.
Food — the plaza across the street is a one-minute walk, with several quick-service options. Crew lunch doesn't cost you an hour of booked time.

Equipment Rental
Your booking covers the space, the cyclorama, controlled lighting zones, and all on-site amenities. Equipment is rented separately — bring your own, or tell us what you need and we'll send a quote after your booking is confirmed, invoiced separately.
Production Support (Optional)
Talent sourcing, hair and makeup artists, props and set dressing, and specialist equipment can all be arranged through the studio and invoiced separately. Pre-production and setup assistance is available at $150 per hour. Ask when you book.
Booking Terms
Booking — instant, through the calendar on this page. Pick your window and confirm.
Access and support — the studio books 24 hours a day, and a member of the studio team is on site for the duration of your booking to handle access and answer questions. Early load-ins, overnight shoots, and late wraps are all available — and you won't be working out a lock box or troubleshooting the space alone at any hour.
Setup and teardown — 15 minutes are included before your booked start and 15 minutes after your booked end, at no charge. Time beyond that is billed at the hourly rate, so book the full window you need.
Insurance — renters must carry general liability insurance of at least $2,000,000 and are responsible for WorkSafeBC coverage for their own crew, talent, and assistants. A certificate of insurance naming Farzan Samsamy Studio as an additional insured is required for multi-day bookings, crews over ten people, and any production involving set construction. For standard bookings, coverage is confirmed in the rental agreement.
Cancellation — full refund more than 72 hours before the rental date. 50% refund within 72 hours. No refund within 24 hours or for a no-show.
Security deposit — may be required depending on the booking, refunded within 5 business days after inspection.
Studio content — you own everything you shoot here. Footage or photographs showing the studio facility itself may not be used for promotional purposes without written consent.
A rental agreement is signed before your first booking.
